From Hotel News Now: We’re in a ‘golden age of travel’

Hotel CEOs, including Hyatt Hotels Corporation President and CEO Mark Hoplamazian, Hilton Worldwide Holdings President and CEO Chris Nassetta, and Arne Sorenson, president and CEO of Marriott International, among others, spoke at NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference in the beginning of the month.

According to Sean McCracken from Hotel News Now, Arne Sorenson said the outlook for global travel growth is strong and ‘should remain so for the next two decades.’

All CEOs agreed that the demographic shift, including baby boomers traveling more now that they’re retiring, as well as millennials’ focus on spending more on experiences and not houses and cars, is a sure sign that it’s a great time to be a hotelier.
