WASHINGTON – The Asian American Hotel Owners Association announced their support today for the nomination of Alexander Acosta as secretary of labor. AAHOA President and CEO Chip Rogers released the following statement regarding the nomination:
“The Labor Department needs a knowledgeable and steady hand to guide new policies that will help create jobs, protect workers, empower small businesses and repeal misguided regulations from the past. Alexander Acosta will be an excellent leader of the department. His experience is both broad throughout the economy and deep into complex labor issues, both of which will benefit him when examining the impact of proposed regulations. We urge the Senate to act swiftly on approving his nomination.”
Founded in 1989, AAHOA (www.aahoa.com) is the largest hotel owners association in the world, with more than 16,000 small business owner-members. AAHOA members own almost one in every two hotels in the United States.
