Under Armour and Marriott’s Residence Inn team up for a winning strategy


Announced Monday, June 20, Marriott extended-stay brand, Residence Inn, is partnering with Under Armour Connected Fitness to provide guests with hundreds of custom running routes that surround Residence Inn properties around the globe. Promoted with the tagline, “Run Like a Local,” each route will be at least two miles in length and were designed to appeal to both runners and walkers alike, often taking goers by iconic landmarks and local tourist destinations.

As a part of the new strategy to embrace the next generation of traveler, this new partnership is another example of how Residence Inn is meeting guests’ needs in a creative way. In addition to this partnership, the brand has also recently reimagined its guest suites and offered a new ‘evening socials’ experience.

“Our partnership with Under Armour complements our existing signature amenities and services including free grocery delivery and fully equipped in-suite kitchens,” said vice president and global brand manager for Residence Inn Diane Mayer.
