Visions Hotels to build a new Tru by Hilton in downtown Troy, New York

The 98-room Hilton hotel was recently approved by city planners, although it’s too early to say when construction will begin. The new hotel will be built and owned by Visions Hotels, franchise operators Arun “Andy” Patel and Hemant Patel, based out of Corning, New York.

“It’s good for RPI, good for downtown Troy,” said Steve Strichman, commissioner of planning and community development.

The four-story hotel will be built on vacant land off Congress Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues.
