MIAMI, July 26—Two leaders from the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) –
Chairman Bhavesh Patel and Vice Chairman Hitesh Patel – will address minority hospitality industry
officials this week in Miami at the 21st annual International African American Hotel Ownership &
Investment Summit & Tradeshow.
The three-day event, organized by the National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and
Developers (NABHOOD), will include information and education sessions on various hospitality-related
On Thursday, Chairman Patel will present the 2017 AAHOA Outstanding Hotelier Award, which
recognizes a hotelier who has successfully demonstrated a strong interest in ownership and ability to
bring people together to create a deal.
Additionally, on Thursday, Vice Chairman Patel will sit on a panel of top industry executives to discuss
trends and other issues related to hotel development in today’s changing market.
“AAHOA is committed to strengthening and supporting all hoteliers and ensuring their needs are heard
and understood,” Chairman Patel said. “Events like the NABHOOD Summit are a smart step in that
direction, and we are honored to once again be invited to participate.”
AAHOA is also hosting a town hall event during the NABHOOD Summit. The Wednesday evening event
is being emceed by 2004 AAHOA Chairman Naresh “Nash” Patel.
