AAHOA Chairman to Speak at Latino Hotel Association Annual Conference

MIAMI, July 26—Bhavesh Patel, chair of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), will
give brief remarks at the annual Latino Hotel Association (LHA) conference on Wednesday. Patel is also
moderating a panel discussion – Hotel Investment 101 – that will unpack the nuts and bolts of hotel
financing, franchising, development and operations management.

John Lancaster, director of franchise development at Choice Hotels International; Juan Corvinos,
managing director of development for Central America, Andean and Hispanic Caribbean Regions at
Hilton Worldwide; Matt Hostetler, senior vice president of franchise sales and development for Red Roof
Inn, and Louis Alicea, director of development, Latin America/Caribbean region, for Wyndham Hotel
Group are expected to weigh in on the panel.

“AAHOA is committed to ensuring the business growth and development of all hoteliers. As such, we are
honored to stand united with LHA in support of that goal, and participate in the annual conference once
again this year,” Patel said.

The theme of the LHA conference this year is: empowering more Latinos in hotel ownership. Hotel
industry executives and thought leaders from around the country will convene to educate, network and
share best practices on hotel ownership and investment with their peers and colleagues.
LHA is a nonprofit association dedicated to representing the business interests of Latino hotel owners,
operators and developers, and increasing Latino participation in the hospitality industry.
