Last month, Bharat Patel, CHO, CHIA, took the helm as AAHOA Chairman. He has been an active member of the association since 2008 and served as an ambassador for several years before being elected Florida Regional Director in 2015. Bharat is a second-generation hotelier who learned the hotel business through hands-on experience at properties owned by his parents. He has rented rooms, cleaned rooms, and worked nearly every part of a hotel. As AAHOA Chairman, Bharat wants to help members honor their past while creating a bolder future, regardless of where and how they started their hotel entrepreneurial journey.
