DAYTONA BEACH, FL, NOVEMBER 11, 2024—The North and South Florida Regions hosted AAHOA’s (Asian American Hotel Owners Association) third and final Charity Golf Tournament of 2024, which raised some $76,000 to benefit the AAHOA Charitable Foundation. The event was held on November 6 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, FL.

Nearly 100 players and 12 sponsors attended the tournament. Through the generosity of its vendor partners, members, and sponsors participating in the Charity Golf Tournaments, AAHOA has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to charities that touch lives and make the world a better place. This year, AAHOA hosted three tournaments, which raised $241,000 for charities.

“As hoteliers, contributing to our communities remains central to our mission,” said AAHOA Chairman Miraj S. Patel. “Seeing our members and industry partners join forces here in Daytona Beach to support impactful causes was uplifting. I am grateful to North Florida Regional Director Jayesh (Jay) Patel and South Florida Regional Director Chetan (Chris) Patel, as well as the Ambassadors whose hard work brought this event to life and ensured its success.”

“The outstanding support and generosity at this tournament underscore the impressive amount raised for the AAHOA Charitable Foundation,” said AAHOA President & CEO Laura Lee Blake. “For our members, events like this go beyond charity—they are opportunities to build connections and reinforce the community spirit that makes AAHOA so strong. The unity in Florida shows our commitment to creating positive change together.”

The event coincided with the Florida Region Hotel Owners Conference & Trade Show.
