WASHINGTON, D.C. – Asian American Hotel Owners Association chairman Bruce Patel released the following statement regarding President-elect Donald J. Trump’s nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R, Ala) to be Attorney General:
“Perhaps the most important, and often overlooked, foundational structure in America is the rule of law. Immigrants from around the world have sought to escape to the United States because they understand that in America your circumstances of birth do not predetermine your future. The law is what binds all Americans together. We believe Senator Sessions is uniquely qualified to enforce our nation’s laws in a manner consistent with our Constitution. We wholeheartedly support his nomination and encourage every U.S. Senator to vote in favor of his confirmation.”
