Staton issued the following statement after congressional leaders came to an agreement on the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, & Economic Security (CARES) Act, a stimulus package designed to assist industries and workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic downturn:
“This relief package will help small businesses and their employees as they deal with the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. While this legislation is a step in the right direction, America’s hotel owners are committed to working with the Trump administration and congressional leadership to ensure that the next phases of economic stimulus fully and meaningfully address the liquidity crisis facing small business owners across the country.”
